Getting ready for Christmas....

Decorating the Christmas tree(s). The kids each have trees in their rooms and can decorate them however they choose. Connor got very creative and used a University of Utah football theme. He downloaded the football pictures from the internet, put them on red paper and hung them on his Christmas tree.
Merry Christmas!!!

So this was the best Christmas ever!! This is the first Christmas that the kids were actually more excited about giving each other presents than getting their own presents. We had such a fun Christmas together with so many great memories. Now comes the really fun part....putting all the decorations away!

Our Thankful Tree....

We made a "Thankful" tree during Family Home Evening on Monday. We ended up having so many things we are thankful for that we couldn't fit all the leaves on the tree. Some of my favorite leaves are the family, the gospel, our freedom, our friends, Disneyland, Utah (as in football), every sport, our jobs, our health, etc.... I really believe that if you ever feel down, count your blessings and you will realize how lucky you are!!Tuesday, November 11, 2008

The AWESOME POSSUM!!!!

Funny story ... This happened to us in So Cal. We came out one morning to get in the car. Jason was back in the room doing something like fixing his hair. Connor went on his side of the car to get in and started screaming there was a dead rat on the street. So we all screamed! We sent our brave little boy back to check it out and this time he said it was "the animal that pretends to be dead". Sure enough, it was a possum pretending to be dead. We all screamed! By this time, Jason has made it outside to check out the screaming. He is giving us an update from the other side of the car. The possum was breathing and laying perfectly still pretending to be dead. (More screaming!) So Connor took a picture to record evidence of the only possum we have seen in the wild. And yes it is true, they do pretend to be dead!
